Weight: 364. The last time I weighed myself was a week ago. At that time I came in at 365, so I’m down a pound.  The biggest plus is I haven’t gained anything. I’m sure I’ll have dropped a significant amount tomorrow, what with this new diet and all.

Day two of my juice fast. I finally came to a mixture I didn’t like. When fennel bulb, cucumber, celery and spinach, are mixed together the resulting taste is akin to grass. Not my thing. I’ll be skipping that one in the future. Other than that, today has been pretty good. My headache is gone, replaced by lethargy. The negative side effects of my juice fast should be gone by day three, or so I’ve read. All I know is, today, I’m worn out.

One thing I wanted to go over today is water intake. I’m drinking twice as much water as I am juice. Juicing should never be considered a substitute for good old fashion agua. You have to stay hydrated. This is a must.

Juicing tip of the day: Use the plastic bags from the produce section of your grocery store of choice to line the pulp catch of your juicer. Much easier clean up. And, since you’ll be buying so many fruits and vegetables, you have plenty on hand. 😉

I hope I have more energy tomorrow.

Day One of my juice fast (I started two days earlier because my juicer arrived yesterday) and I end the day with a massive headache. This was expected, as once again, I am detoxing. Wonderful. Anywho, I am now an official convert. The plan I’m on consists of a revolving three day juice plan. Upon day four, I start back at day one, and so on. This breaks up the monotony. Each day I will be having five different juices. I have yet to find a combination I haven’t liked. The foam at the top is a little off-putting, but I remedied that with a straw.

I will update my weight tomorrow. Probably in the morning, but I won’t be posting until after my last juice of the day. Weighing yourself at night is never a good idea.

Also, when juicing beets, wear red… or juice naked. Your choice.

I haven’t updated in the past two days because I really haven’t had much to say. I will be starting my juice fast on Monday. If you would like to follow my diet I will link you down below to the PDF of the juicing plan. I will also be posting the link to the specific days once I get started. The plan is mapped out in great detail. Also, if you have Netflix or Hulu, I suggest watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. The movie is highly motivational.

I just got my juicer, a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth model. It’s around $60 through Walmart.com. This plan I’m going on costs about $14 a day in fruits and veggies. I know, that’s a great deal of money, but you have to realize that cost covers six juices throughout the day, and those drinks are all you have for five days straight. I’m sure a great deal of you already spend more than $14 a day feeding yourselves.

Sundays suck for blog posts, they always have for me. The last day of the weekend is usually our family day, so the last thing I think about is blogging, or writing, period.

No weight today, either. The scales shall collect dust until Friday. I will weigh myself once a week now.

I will be starting my juice fast here in the next couple of days. I’m really excited for this step in the process. My liquid diet was a huge success, but during that time I didn’t take in any fruits or veggies. I felt like I was missing out, as I’m the type of guy that would be cool with a vegetarian diet if it wasn’t for the fact that my family wouldn’t dig the idea, which would mean I’d have to buy food separate from them. That can get terribly expensive.

Welp, I’ve updated. Mission accomplished. Until tomorrow…

Weight: Don’t know. Stopped checking 😉

Today marks the first day in a month that I have not stepped on a scale immediately after waking up. I can feel my body changing, so I’ll no longer measure my success by the numbers.

I started playing Kinect Adventures on the 360 last night. It’s a hell of a workout. After about fifteen minutes I felt as if I’d ran half a mile. I’m going to split up my days walking to every other day and do the Kinect on the day I don’t walk. Variety is the spice of life, after all. It’s raining here today, so I’ll probably be doing the Kinect today as well.

Weight: 365, down five pounds from yesterday.

Go home, Scale, you’re drunk. I weigh myself everyday at ten am. I wear the same thing (nothing but my underroos). I take in the same amount of calories (400) for breakfast, lunch, and snack. The only thing I do differently is dinner. I don’t calorie count for supper. I use a tea saucer instead of an actual dinner plate.

One of the key tools for me has been my water intake. I’m not drinking my calories anymore. And, some of you already know this, drinking a lot of water somehow keeps you from retaining said liquid. Counter-intuitive, I know, but it’s a fact. I wish food were like that. Shovel goodies in and just watch the weight melt off. But that would be too easy, wouldn’t it.

The truth of the matter is, I saw all this coming. Go ahead, scroll back to earlier posts. It took me 32 years to gain all this weight, so I’m completely cool with losing it slowly. Of course, I must remind myself that on a daily basis. 😉

My closet now consists of basketball and sweat shorts. In other words, drawstrings abound. All my other bottom attire is too loose. I’m not a frugal bee by nature, but I refuse to buy a bunch of shorts or pants that are going to be too big for me next month. That stuff adds up.

Weight: 370. I was up to 373 yesterday morning, but now I’m back down to 370.

Three whole days since I last updated. Sorry about that. Like I told you in my last update, my plate is full. Not to mention I had somewhat of a personal crisis that I’m not going to go into, as it had absolutely zero to do with my weight.

This update today is simply to get me back in the habit of updating daily. I didn’t have the time to update, but even when I did find two or three minutes, I found myself making excuses like, “No one will notice if you skip a day,” and “People know you’re busy,” and for the most part, I was right, but I had to remind myself that I’m not doing this for anyone other than myself. If I don’t hold myself accountable for my actions, no one else is going to.
